So it started last spring. A friend from Church asked us to baby sit for her. Only the babies came in a dog crate, and instead of Waaa said Maaa. And they were very hairy. And they were very cute. And Adam was very worried. They were two little pygora goats. Crescendo and Allegro. Here’s some more information on Pygora’s. http://www.pygoragoats.org/ Farmer B loved them. Really really loved them. It was so much fun watching the three of them run around together kicking up their heels. It was wonderful! So we kept one.
Well, we got more than one. Because they get “lonely”. Sure they do. Ok, ok they do. And I can imagine how LOUD it would be with just one! At least with two they can talk to each other, and not try to tell you what is going on out in the field when you are still in the house. They also came with a Llama! Sampson. He’s the best! Doesn’t like dogs (coyote’s) and is supper friendly (although it’s a little intimidating to have him come at you at eye level). We ended up with Crescendo and Legato. We have not “freshened” them yet, but will some day. Little B so loved feeding the babies when they were here..
And several months later, the true trouble maker has emerged, stealing hay from the horses, feed from the turkeys and spending the night in the woods when she slipped out of the pen after the last feeding (silly goat, coyotes live in the woods!)
