Baby chicks!

Well we weren’t but we did.  Kind of cool too.  We were contacted by a couple of local grade school teachers reciently about fertile eggs for them to hatch in the classroom.  We were more than happy to help out (being all soft hearted on educators).  After the chicks hatched out they were only able to find homes for about half of them.  The rest came back to us!  2 look like barred rock/light Brahma crosses, the other three are full blood light Brahma.  Farmer J weakened at the feed store a couple of days later and we have two little buff orpington chicks as well.  Here are the two “educated” chicks getting a little love…
